Job summary

FreightTAS in Los Angeles is seeking an Import / Export Specialist (Air & Ocean Freight) for hands-on management of end-to-end international freight operations. This onsite, full-time role requires coordinating bookings, documentation,Carrier/agent liaison, rate quotes, and regulatory compliance to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has at least two years with a freight forwarding company handling ocean import/export and practical knowledge of CargoWise; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with a freight forwarding company handling ocean import or export operations from start to finish.
• Hands-on experience with CargoWise is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of international import operations from booking through final delivery, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time execution.
• Handle ocean import or export operations, including documentation preparation, coordination with overseas agents, and shipment execution.
• Prepare and manage rate quotes for customers and international partners for ocean freight.
• Coordinate and oversee consolidated cargo shipments.
• Communicate regularly with overseas agents, carriers, trucking companies, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, shipping laws, and internal procedures.
• Proactively resolve shipment issues to minimize delays or service disruptions.
• Support customer relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and issue resolution.
