Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field is preferred.
• 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics is preferred.
• Prior experience in ocean imports and supervisory roles is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Knowledge of ocean freight regulations and export controls is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage importation of goods by ocean, including carrier selection, booking, and transportation.
• Collaborate with logistics, finance, and operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and third-party service providers to optimize cargo delivery.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly to maintain satisfaction and trust.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws; stay updated on changes in ocean freight regulations.
• Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Monitor and report on KPIs including delivery times, costs and service quality.
• Supervise a team of ocean import coordinators and support staff.
