Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in the United States (North Charleston) is seeking a Freight Forwarder Ocean Import to coordinate the import of goods by sea, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination.

You will work with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely shipments, track progress, and prepare necessary documentation while maintaining compliance with trade regulations. English fluency is required and ocean-import experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in ocean imports is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed
• Prepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
• Manage relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service
