Job summary

DSV - Global transport and logistics is seeking a Freight Forwarder for Ocean Import to manage import and export activities by ocean. The role involves customs clearance, carrier booking, cargo tracking, documentation, and coordinating with carriers and brokers to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have experience in ocean freight logistics, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in ocean import and export highly desirable.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination.
• Manage the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier booking and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channels.
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Prepare, process, submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork.
• Track and monitor shipments and provide regular updates to customers on the status of their shipments.
• Manage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws.
• All other duties as assigned.
