Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in the USA is seeking a Freight Forwarder Ocean Import in North Charleston to manage import shipments by ocean, including customs clearance, carrier booking, cargo tracking and delivery to the final destination.

You will coordinate with carriers, customs brokers and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery, prepare documentation, and maintain high levels of customer service while complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related field.
• Experience in ocean imports is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed
• Prepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
• Manage relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service
