Job summary

White Recruitment is seeking an Ocean Import Coordinator for our Atlanta, GA operation. This office-based role focuses on managing end-to-end Ocean Import shipments from arrival through customs clearance and delivery, coordinating with ocean carriers, brokers, trucking providers and customers.

The ideal candidate has solid ocean freight experience, knowledge of US import processes and customs documentation, and proficiency with freight-forwarding systems (CargoWise is a strong plus).

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Ocean Freight / Ocean Import within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of US import processes and customs documentation.
• Experience working with freight-forwarding systems; CargoWise experience is a strong plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and follow-through.
• Confident communicator who can build relationships with customers, carriers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Ocean Import shipments from arrival through customs clearance and final delivery.
• Coordinate with ocean carriers, customs brokers, trucking providers and customers.
• Manage bills of lading, commercial invoices, import documentation and shipment records.
• Track cargo, resolve exceptions and proactively communicate with customers.
• Ensure shipments comply with applicable customs and import regulations.
• Maintain accurate shipment and billing information within logistics systems.
• Deliver a high level of customer service in a fast-paced freight-forwarding environment.
