Delmar International invites applications for an Ocean Import Associate in Chicago. You will coordinate international ocean import shipments from origin to final destination and communicate daily with clients, overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, and transportation providers to keep shipments moving and clients updated.

Your duties include reviewing shipment documentation and manifests, monitoring customs clearance, arranging inland transportation, and ensuring accurate records and timely

Formación

• 1–2 years of experience in ocean freight operations, preferably imports.
• Knowledge of ocean import documentation and shipment coordination.
• Familiarity with U.S. import procedures and customs clearance processes.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, international business, or related field is an asset.
• Experience with CargoWise is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and monitor international ocean import shipments from origin to final destination.
• Communicate daily with clients, overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, and transportation providers to ensure timely updates.
• Review shipment documentation and manifests; monitor customs clearance.
• Coordinate cargo availability and delivery instructions; arrange inland transportation as required.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure timely accounting and billing for your portfolio.
