Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking an Ocean Export Specialist III in Des Plaines, IL. The role handles documentation for inbound/outbound shipments, coordinates cargo movement, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work with cross-functional teams to support ocean LCL operations and customer needs.

The position requires attention to detail, strong communication, and solid knowledge of CargoWise and regulatory processes. This is a full-time on-site role located in Des Plaines, IL.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex procedures or regulations and write correspondence.
• Ability to do arithmetic with currency, weights, and measurements.
• Proficient in PC use; MS Office and web-based applications.
• Strong communication across diverse teams and customers.
• Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process documentation for Ocean LCL shipments.
• Interface with CEVA systems to provide updates for internal/external customers.
• Assist in workstream development for new accounts; maintain client profiles.
• Obtain government releases as appropriate and coordinate delivery and invoicing.
• Process Customs release, OGA release, and delivery of cargo per standards.
• Identify and expedite transactions needing special handling.
• Review entries, invoices, and client packages before distribution.
• Continue to expand knowledge of the system through training.
