Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean export shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Prepare export docs: Bills of Lading, invoices, and shipping instructions.
• Coordinate bookings with steamship lines, carriers, warehouses, truckers, and overseas offices/agents.
• Monitor shipment schedules, cut-offs, vessel departures, and arrivals.
• Ensure all export documentation is accurate and completed within deadlines.
• Communicate regularly with customers regarding shipment status and documentation.
• Enter and maintain shipment information in the operating system.
• Resolve shipment issues, delays, and documentation discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal teams and overseas partners for end-to-end execution.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean export shipments from booking through final delivery
• Prepare and process export documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and shipping instructions
• Coordinate bookings with steamship lines, carriers, warehouses, truckers, and overseas offices/agents
• Monitor shipment schedules, cut-offs, vessel departures, and arrivals
• Ensure all export documentation is accurate and completed within required deadlines
• Communicate regularly with customers regarding shipment status, schedules, and documentation
• Enter and maintain shipment information accurately within the company’s operating system
• Resolve shipment issues, delays, and documentation discrepancies
• Coordinate with internal teams and overseas partners to ensure smooth end-to-end shipment execution
• Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and company procedures
• Assist with quotes, rates, and other operational requirements when needed

Requirements

• 2+ years of U.S. freight forwarding experience
• Strong Ocean Export experience
• Good knowledge of international shipping procedures and export documentation
• Experience working with steamship lines, truckers, warehouses, and overseas agents
• Strong understanding of ocean freight terminology, schedules, and cut-off requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with CargoWise or another freight forwarding operating system is preferred
