Job summary

OEC Group in Webster, TX seeks a detail-oriented logistics clerk with 1–3 years in ocean export freight forwarding. You will track shipments, maintain customer profiles in Cargowise, and handle a high volume of emails and calls.

Qualifications

• Candidates with 1–3 years of experience in the ocean export freight forwarding industry.
• Proficient in MS Excel, strong organization, follow up and communication skills.
• Cargowise experience, hazmat certification, and general cargo, oil & gas or chemicals knowledge is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of shipments in Cargowise daily by checking the carrier's website.
• Creates and maintains customer profiles in Cargowise with detailed customer information.
• Maintains effective communication with internal and external parties through a high volume of emails, phone calls and in-person interaction.
• Generates and monitors reports daily.
• Creates invoices to be processed for billing purposes.
• Addresses internal and external inquiries and directs to the correct department if needed.

Work Schedule

• Webster Office 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree preferred
• Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry

Salary

$50,000-$60,000 annually based on education and experience level.
