Job summary

OEC Group is seeking a customer-focused logistics professional in Itasca, IL. You will manage customer relationships, provide freight solutions and quotes, and coordinate ocean and air shipments, including pickups, deliveries, and returns.

The role emphasizes accuracy, proactive problem-solving, and teamwork with carriers and warehouses. Ideal candidates have 1+ years in freight forwarding or logistics and strong MS Office skills; CargoWise experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain ops preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics software systems; CargoWise a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships and provide freight solutions, quotations, and shipment updates.
• Coordinate and track ocean and air shipments, including pickups, deliveries, and container returns.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve transportation and logistics issues.
• Collaborate with carriers, trucking companies, warehouses, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to SOPs and compliance standards.
• Review invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and process AP/AR transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer needs are met from start to finish.

About the Position

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CargoWise is a plus.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry

Salary

$50,000-$60,000 annually based on education and experience level.
