Job summary

OEC Group seeks a customer-focused logistics professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills in Itasca, IL. You will manage shipments, coordinate ocean/air freight, and work with carriers and warehouses to ensure smooth operations.

The role emphasizes timely updates, accurate records, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Bachelor's degree preferred and 1+ years in logistics is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics software systems.
• Experience with CargoWise is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple shipments and priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships and provide freight solutions, quotations, and shipment updates.
• Coordinate and track ocean and air shipments, including pickups, deliveries, and container returns.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve transportation and logistics issues.
• Collaborate with carriers, trucking companies, warehouses, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to SOPs and compliance standards.
• Review invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and process AP/AR transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer needs are met and shipments are handled efficiently from start to finish.

About the Position

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CargoWise is a plus.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry

Salary

$50,000-$60,000 annually based on education and experience level.
