Responsibilities

• Coordinate international ocean export shipments from booking through vessel departure.
• Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, customers, truckers, warehouses and other service providers.
• Prepare and review export documentation including Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
• Coordinate export bookings with ocean carriers and ensure cargo meets cut-off times.
• Arrange drayage, container pickups and inland transportation.
• Prepare and submit export documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Track shipments and provide customers with status updates.
• Enter shipment data in CargoWise and ensure timely invoicing.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate international ocean export shipments from booking through to vessel departure.
• Communicate with overseas agents, ocean carriers, customers, truckers, warehouses, and other service providers.
• Prepare and review export documentation including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
• Coordinate export bookings with ocean carriers and ensure cargo is delivered to the appropriate terminal within required cut-off times.
• Arrange and coordinate drayage, container pickups, and inland transportation.
• Prepare and submit export documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
• Track shipments proactively and provide customers with regular status updates.
• Accurately enter and maintain shipment information within CargoWise.
• Ensure all files are completed accurately and invoiced in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in international freight forwarding.
• Previous experience handling ocean export shipments.
• Strong working knowledge of ocean export documentation and freight forwarding processes.
• Experience using CargoWise is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
