Job summary

GLOVIS America, Inc. in Fort Lee, NJ is seeking a Manager - OCS Operations Optimization II & CQ to oversee car carrier vessel operations across the U.S. East Coast and Gulf regions.

You will manage vessel schedules, customs clearance, and cargo handling while ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. The role requires building strong relationships with port authorities, terminals, and service providers and leading cross-functional teams to optimize long-haul operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7–10 years in ocean carrier services, vessel/port operation experience.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain base operational schedules and plans for vessel, port, and cargo.
• Oversee execution of commercial contract obligations and ensure terms are met.
• Review and refine service procedures to maintain standards.
• Prepare and analyze operational reports and schedules aligned with performance targets.
• Coordinate with port authorities, stevedores, and agents for seamless operations.
• Contribute to cost analysis and budgeting, identifying opportunities for savings.
• Enhance vessel turnaround times by managing berthing windows and labor deployment.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders for monthly billing of long-haul operations.
