Job summary

Greenway Health and Rehab is seeking a Part-Time or PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. The role ensures the highest quality resident care is maintained at all times.

The candidate will screen and evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, communicate findings to families and the interdisciplinary team, and oversee COTA with a focus on clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active Occupational Therapy license in AL.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct Occupational Therapy services.
• Screen residents to determine best interventions.
• Evaluate residents and develop short- and long-term goals.
• Communicate findings to residents, families and team.
• Schedule therapy with team members and document care.
• Oversee COTA and ensure proper documentation and reimbursement.

Greenway Health and Rehab is hiring for Part-Time or PRN Occupational Therapist OT to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Part-time PT Weekends or PRN

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient

• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members

• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services

• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients

• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy

• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in AL

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
