Job summary

Synchrony is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Muncie, Indiana. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, you will provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting aligned with professional standards and the facility’s goals.

The role requires an OTA license/certification current and valid, with CPR certification preferred. You will work as part of a collaborative team to support patient progress and education, with responsibilities spanning treatment

Qualifications

• OTA licensure or certification must be current and valid.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities and adaptive techniques to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation of patients’ responses to therapy and progress; report findings to supervising OT.
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques and progress strategies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
• Other duties as assigned.
