Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement the patient plan of care under supervision. The role includes assisting with exercises, ADLs, cognitive and perceptual training, and adaptive equipment use in diverse clinical settings.

The qualified candidate will hold an AA degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant, a California license, and current BLS certification; 1 year of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year experience as an occupational therapy assistant in an acute care facility preferred.
• Current California license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• BLS (AHA) current certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Accurately implements the patient plan of care designed by the occupational therapist.
• Performs passive/active and resistive exercise, ADL training, and cognitive/sensory activities.
• Develops home programs and educates patient and family.
• Assists in program development, policy/procedure improvements, and departmental records.
