Job summary

Antelope Valley Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (per diem) to assist the Staff Occupational Therapist in resident care and treatment planning. You will help with therapy activities, document progress, and ensure safety in the treatment area.

Responsibilities include collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, involvement in care conferences, and education of residents and families on exercises and fall prevention.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care software.
• CPR certification is optional per licensure; maintain state license.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Assist nursing with training Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising OT to update physicians and team.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
• Assist in ordering necessary durable medical equipment for independence.
