Job summary

Synchrony is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Muncie, IN. Under supervision, you will assist in implementing therapeutic plans, conduct ADL training, and support patient progress with guidance from an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities include documenting responses, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the care team. Competitive benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Active OTA license or certification in the state
• Current CPR certification preferred
• 0-1 years of experience in occupational therapy

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy and report findings to the supervising OT.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
