Santa Cruz Post Acute in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team in a skilled nursing setting. We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules with a competitive starting hourly rate and benefits.

Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help residents improve independence, document progress, and educate families.

Qualifications

• Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in California.
• Graduate of an accredited COTA program.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
• SNF experience preferred but new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment interventions as outlined in the resident’s OT plan of care.
• Assist in implementing programs to improve ADLs, mobility, strength, coordination, and cognition.
• Document daily treatment notes, progress updates, and resident responses.
• Collaborate with OT, therapy staff, nursing and other interdisciplinary members.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and standards.
