Moraga Post Acute is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team on a Part-Time/PRN basis in Moraga, California. The COTA will work with Occupational Therapists to provide resident-centered therapy aimed at improving independence and functional abilities.

Requirements include current COTA certification and state licensure, with preference for prior post-acute or skilled nursing experience.

Qualifications

  • Must have current COTA certification and state licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide OT services under supervision of a licensed OT.
  • Assist residents to improve strength, mobility, and independence.
  • Implement treatment plans based on residents' goals.
  • Document sessions accurately and timely.
  • Monitor progress and communicate with the care team.
  • Educate residents and caregivers as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies and standards.
  • Promote a safe, respectful environment.
