Job summary

Santa Cruz Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team in Santa Cruz. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver services that improve residents' functional abilities and independence.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California.
• Graduate of an accredited COTA program.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
• Prior SNF experience preferred but new grads are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment interventions as outlined in the resident's OT plan of care.
• Assist in implementing programs to improve ADLs, mobility, strength, coordination, and cognition.
• Document daily treatment notes, progress updates, and resident responses.
• Collaborate with the OT, therapy staff, nursing, and other team members to support goals.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and strategies.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and professional standards.
