Job description

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a COTA, you will work alongside our growing department of therapists, empowering patients to participate in their activities of daily living. Additionally, you will help develop strategies and treatment plans to support patient growth and overcome challenges.

This position is per diem.

Job Functions:

1. Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
2. Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
3. Document patient’s daily participation and progress in an accurate and timely manner, obtaining the co-signature of the OTR.
4. Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications, and discharges.
5. Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Wisconsin.
• Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
