Job summary

Sweetwater Care and Rehab in Fresno is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. You will work under the Occupational Therapist to implement patient programs and ensure documentation guidelines are followed.

We offer a flexible schedule with opportunities to contribute to patient care and rehabilitation conferences, and to support families with maintenance plans. All experience levels welcome.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant with current license.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and follow documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments and progress notes in medical records.
• Assist in maintaining department and treatment area.
• Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences.
• Educate patient families and nursing staff on maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with supervisor and health team on progress and plans.

Responsibilities:

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines
• Record treatments given and progress notes in medical record
• Assist in maintaining department
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area
• Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility
• Record treatment charges per the facility policy and procedures
• Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program

Experience/Qualifications:

Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
