Job summary

Sweetwater Care and Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. The role supports the Occupational Therapist and supervisor in day-to-day OT services, coordinating with nursing staff to deliver quality care.

The ideal candidate holds an OTA Associate Degree, NBCOT certification, and current state licensure, and is committed to patient assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and collaboration within the rehab team.

Qualifications

• OTA Associate Degree from accredited OTA program is required.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Current licensure in the state employed is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day OT services under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist and/or supervisor.
• Coordinate with other divisions and nursing staff to ensure quality care and support rehab goals.
• Support patient assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation for a general rehab caseload.

Education

Principal Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the Occupational Therapist and/or supervisor in the overall day to day operations of occupational therapy services of the center. Assists in coordination with other divisions, departments, and nursing staff to ensure that quality care is provided and to support the goals and objectives of the company. Promotes wellness through the assistance of completion of patient assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload.

Qualifications

• - OTA Associate Degree from accredited OTA program required.
• - Certification as OTA by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required.
• - Current licensure in state employed.
