Job summary

MaineHealth seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Farmington, ME. Under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will administer patient treatment plans and assess progress.

Responsibilities include evaluating mobility, motor, sensory processing, cognitive and functional skills, recording responses, and adjusting therapy within established guidelines. Requires OTA program graduation, BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license for Home Care as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• License/Certifications: Current OTA license or in compliance with state act; BLS certification required or within 30 days.
• Experience: One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Additional Skills/Requirements: N/A

Responsibilities

• Administer patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Summary:

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
• Experience: One year of clinical experience preferred.
