Position Summary for the Occupational Therapist (OT)

The Occupational Therapist [OTR/L] is a licensed professional who directs, supervises, evaluates, and provides occupational therapy services to patients in their homes or current residences, as prescribed by the physician.

Responsibilities of the Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Conduct home visits in Ligonier Valley and surrounding areas
• Perform initial evaluations assessing functional status, endurance, coordination, motor skills, and environmental hazards
• Develop and implement treatment plans, collaborating with the nursing team
• Document care provided under the physician's direction
• Identify equipment and environmental modifications needed
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on rehabilitative care
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants
• Adjust therapy plans to improve patient outcomes
