Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with functional limitations, develop personalized plans, and enhance independence and quality of life. The OT will address ADLs, mobility, and equipment needs while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes evidence-based therapy, patient education, and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program.
• Active OT license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year OT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional skills.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, bathing, and feeding.
• Provide training in adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and home safety.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, home programs, and functional strategies.
• Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.
