• Strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and implements occupational therapy treatment programs according to physician referral and plan of care.
• Designs programs to meet the patient’s physical, psychological, and age-specific needs; performs evaluations, tests, and measurements.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet patient and customer needs in a timely manner; involves patient/family in goal setting and training/education.
• Completes required documentation including patient care charting, charge entry, peer reviews, and daily scheduling.
• Coordinates care with hospital activities, discharge planning, care conferences, rounds, and community programs.
• Assigns and supervises the care of COTA and therapy aides.
• Promotes professional customer service and works with hospital personnel to meet patient needs.
