Job summary

You will design and adjust therapy plans, fabricate splints and adaptive equipment, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes. This on-site role emphasizes hands-on care and interprofessional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for OT licensure eligibility.
• Licensure: Kansas state license (KSBHA) required; NBCOT preferred.
• OT license/credentialing may be required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations to assess ROM, strength, motor planning, coordination, balance, sensory processing, endurance, and ADL status.
• Establishes and provides appropriate treatment methods to enhance physical and emotional well-being, aiming for goal achievement.
• Reviews physician referrals and patient records to determine the most appropriate treatment.
• Fabrication of custom upper extremity splints/orthotic devices and adaptive equipment.
• Consults with the healthcare team to plan and coordinate other medical interventions.
• Educates patients, families and staff in OT techniques and objectives; documents progress.
