University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a full-time day shift. The role involves planning and delivering medically prescribed OT programs to help patients regain independence across diverse populations.

The position requires Missouri OT licensure, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Supervisory responsibilities include OT/OTA staff and students, with a standard 7:30AM–4:00PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree and graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Missouri license in Occupational Therapy.
• Verbal and written communication skills required to discuss and document treatment programs and work issues.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with correct body mechanics to physically manage/assist patients.
• Requires the physical ability to teach and demonstrate locomotor skills, high level coordination and gross/fine motor skills, etc.
• Must maintain certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support for continued employment.

Responsabilités

• Plans, organizes and conducts medically prescribed occupational therapy programs to facilitate/restore functional independence in all patient populations. Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehab Techs and OT/OTA students.
• Works independently; seeks supervision when necessary.
