Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and participate in the rehab team. The OT will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, obtain physician approvals, and supervise assistants in accordance with facility policy.

Qualifications

• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred
• Experience in adult neurological, cardiac, and/or general rehabilitation preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, treat and document services in the medical record.
• Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approvals for referrals.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and/or Aides.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and health team members.
• Instruct families or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Interview patients and families regarding functioning level and expectations.
• Assess and provide ADL adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, licensing, payor and accrediting requirements.
