Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and support activities that contribute to outstanding therapy outcomes, including patient evaluations and treatment planning in collaboration with families, physicians and the health team.

The role includes supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides, documenting services in the medical record, coordinating with the rehab team, and applying current OT knowledge to restore

Qualifications

• Knowledge of occupational therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Aids in restoration and enhancement of independence; evaluates and treats patients.
• Supervises OT assistants and/or aides in direct patient care.
• Documents services in the medical record; maintains accurate billing data.
• Communicates with families, physicians and health team members; ensures follow-up.
• Maintains safe working practices and contributes to professional development.
