Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and support activities within a therapy department. You will evaluate and treat patients, document services, and collaborate with families, physicians, and the health team to achieve outstanding rehab outcomes.

You will supervise aides/assistants, implement treatment plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to professional development and a positive facility culture.

Formación

• Knowledge in Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities in Occupational Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices and training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Aids in restoration and enhancement of independence after illness or injury.
• Evaluates and treats patients; documents services in medical records.
• Communicates with families, physicians and health team members.
• Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and/or Aides.
• Develops treatment plans; obtains physician approvals as needed.
• Instructs families or nursing staff in follow-up programs.
• Interacts with interdisciplinary team; participates in care conferences.
• Maintains safe working practices and professional standards.
