Job summary

Pacific Villas Post Acute in Oceanside is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapy Assistant to work under the OT to support patient care. You will treat patients, document daily and weekly progress, and follow physician plans in a collaborative health-team setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with Restorative Aide training, communicating progress to supervisors, and participating in staff in-services. Must maintain state OTA licensure and be proficient with Casamba & Point Click Care.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Must maintain license in good standing with the state.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
• Assist nursing with training Restorative Aides.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisor and health team.
• Participate in in-services training for staff.
• Record evaluations and required documentation per state act and payer rules.
• Instruct families/caregivers in maintenance programs for discharge.
• Maintain treatment area and report equipment issues.
