Job summary

Overland Terrace Healthcare & Wellness Centre in Los Angeles, CA seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and to develop effective treatment plans for rehabilitation in geriatric and medical patients.

You will supervise assistants and aides, coordinate with physicians and families, document thoroughly, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OT evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities in OT.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices and assistive aids.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with diverse patients.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive OT evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Supervise OT Assistants/Aides in direct patient care.
• Document in medical records; ensure accurate billing data.
• Communicate progress with families, physicians and health team.
• Collaborate in rehab team conferences and discharge planning.
• Maintain safety and equipment; adhere to regulations.
