Job summary

Midtown Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Memphis, TN is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered OT services as part of a warm, interdisciplinary team.

You will screen and evaluate patients, develop initial and ongoing treatment plans, discharge planning, supervise assistants, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining licensure and pursuing continuing education to enhance care quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapist license, where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Optimize patient functionality by providing, directing, and/or overseeing occupational therapy services, including screening, evaluation, and treatment.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines related to accurate and timely documentation and billing.
• Establish and maintain effective, patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.
• Refer patients for treatment to occupational therapy assistants and provide consultation and clinical supervision.
• Directly supervise occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Participate in utilization review, care conferences, case management, and interdisciplinary team activities.
• Develop and enhance occupational therapy programs, techniques, and services to support quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and patient rights policies.
• Enhance clinical expertise through continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain valid state licensure.
• Understand and apply relevant payment models and treatment guidelines.
