Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
• Continuing education requirements per state practices.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehabilitation potential according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with physicians, nursing staff, and families.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in line with facility and payer requirements.
