UAB Medical West Hospital in Alabama seeks an Occupational Therapist to plan and implement an OT program aimed at restoring function and independence.

You will assess strength, ROM, coordination, ADL independence, emotional stability, and behavior, supervise staff, contribute to discharge planning, document care, and educate patients and families. This role supports department operations, participates in projects, and provides student training.

Competenze

• Must be licensed by the State of Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy as an OT.
• Must possess American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

• Plans an OT program to meet goals for restoration of function.
• Assesses maximum abilities for adjustment to limitations in strength, coordination, range of motion, and independence in activities of daily living.
• Supervises assigned supportive personnel; participates in discharge planning.
• Documents pertinent information; communicates verbally with staff, patients, and families; participates in educational activities; supports departmental operations; and performs special responsibilities/projects.
• Provides student training.
