Job summary

The role involves teaching patients, fabricating adaptive equipment when needed, and maintaining accurate records. Travel may be required; outpatient teams require active AHA CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the AMA and AOTA.
• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the AOTA.
• Must hold a current and valid therapy license in the state employed.
• Familiarity with computers, email, and confidentiality of user data; iPad experience a plus.
• CPR certification (AHA) for outpatient positions may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient’s functional status and develops the plan of care.
• Supervises therapy assistants and coordinates with physicians.
• Delivers treatment programs and teaches patients and families.
• Maintains clinical records and reports changes to the physician.
• May travel as needed and adhere to company policies.
