Job summary

The role involves evaluating ROM, strength, coordination, and ADL status, fabricating upper-extremity splints, teaching home exercises, and collaborating with the care team to coordinate interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• OT license/registration required (KSBHA NBCOT preferred/required).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations to assess ROM, strength, motor planning, balance, and ADL status.
• Establishes and provides treatment methods to improve physical and emotional well-being.
• Reviews physician's referral and patient records to determine the best treatment.
• Fabrication of custom upper extremity splints/orthotic devices.
• Consults with the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Provide patient and family education in OT techniques and home exercises.
• Record treatment and progress in the chart and/or electronic system.
