Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, communicate with families and physicians, and maintain documentation in medical records. The role includes staff training, supervision of COTA and aides, and participation in care conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of referral with documented delays if needed.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans from referring physician.
• Treat patients per physician treatment plan and supervise COTA and aides.
• Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and discharge documentation.
• Instruct families and nursing staff for maintenance and caregiver training.
• Participate in discharge planning and rehabilitation conferences.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
