Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide patient-centered care and work within an interdisciplinary team. The role includes evaluating and planning treatments for neuromusculoskeletal conditions, administering clinical assessments, and delivering direct therapy per a care plan.

A California OT license is required; one year of clinical experience is preferred, with new graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy issued by California.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromusculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge environments.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
