Job summary

Pine Ridge Care Center in California is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT). You will evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal needs, participate in an interdisciplinary team, and help discharge residents to safe environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/MS/DS/OTD) as required.
• California state license to practice OT.
• New graduates welcome; one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administer and interpret tests for strength, range of motion, and cardiopulmonary efficiency.
• Provide direct clinical treatment per plan of care and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Participate in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provide adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Conduct home assessments to aid safe discharge when applicable.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
