Job summary

Occupational Therapist Pool/PRN Responsibilities:

• Use standardized assessments, clinical observations, and patient interviews to determine the impact of the patient's condition on their ability to perform daily tasks.
• Identify patient strengths, challenges, and potential goals for therapy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment results.
• Design and implement interventions aimed at improving patients’ functional abilities and independence in daily activities.
• Provide hands‑on interventions to improve fine motor skills, gross motor skills, strength, coordination, and cognitive function.
• Implement techniques to improve memory, attention, problem-solving, and other cognitive functions, especially for patients with neurological conditions.
• Support family members and caregivers with understanding the patient’s needs
• Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate a patient’s readiness for discharge, ensuring they are safe and able to perform necessary ADLs independently or with the help of family and caregivers.
• Provide recommendations for home modifications, further rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy if necessary.
• Ensure a smooth transition from inpatient care to outpatient or home‑based therapy services.

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• OT (Occupational Therapy)
• Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain
• Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy
• Preferred 1 year Occupational Therapy
