Job summary

Desert Springs Post Acute is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to help patients improve daily activities and independence.

You will work with patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, and other conditions affecting daily living, to help them reach their highest function.

Qualifications

• Current OT license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to develop meaningful patient relationships.
• Skilled nursing/rehabilitation/post-acute experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals.
• Address functional limitations related to daily living activities.
• Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and physician teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
