Avondale Health and Rehab in Tennessee is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan, organize, develop, and direct OT services in the facility, ensuring the highest quality resident care in line with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
The position offers flexible scheduling with full-time or PRN per diem options, competitive pay, and a supportive team. You will screen residents, develop treatment plans, document and bill accurately, and mentor COTA under supervision.
Avondale Health and Rehab is hiring for an Occupational Therapist OT to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
Status: Full-Time with flexible scheduling or Per Diem PRN
Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed
Degree in Occupational Therapy
MUST have an Active TN Occupational Therapy license
Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
