Job summary

Avondale Health and Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. As a COTA you will plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility to ensure the highest quality resident care.

We offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus for full-time, flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and growth opportunities. The role requires Tennessee OTA licensure and an associate degree, with ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• TN OTA licensure is required.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention or treatment.
• Develop and follow treatment plans to meet short- and long-term goals.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and plans to residents, families, and the care team.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with the team.
• Provide therapy according to the plan and document/bill services.
• Perform other duties as assigned to treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards daily.

Avondale Health and Rehab is seeking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. Plus, we're offering a $2000 Sign-On Bonus for FT.

Status: Full-Time with flexibility or Per Diem PRN

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated
