Job summary

Therapy & Beyond in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide 1:1 therapy sessions in a clinic setting, collaborating with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to deliver high-quality care to pediatric and adolescent clients.

The role involves assessment, planning of care, documentation, and data collection, with on-site sessions and a focus on functional mobility and activities of daily living, delivering compassionate, evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist
• Two years of direct service work in a treatment setting for patients preferred
• Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessment; identify patient needs and target developmental goals
• Document, prepare/revises, and complete a Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical record documentation on an ongoing basis
• Assess and facilitate the patient’s ROM, strength, coordination, need for and use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues as related to the patient’s ADL performance needs
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data
• Evaluate the efficiency of the treatment
• Demonstration of professional behavior
• Competence with Crisis Intervention
• Facilitate effective training with parents and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide 1:1, 30 minute OT sessions

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist position is responsible for the direct implementation of therapy services within a clinic-based environment. This position will work closely with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to ensure that each patient in the organization receives quality therapeutic care!

This role will be compensated by session , while supporting pediatric and adolescent clients on-site at our Sugar Land Clinic.
