Job summary

Therapy & Beyond is a BCBA-owned ABA organization with a collaborative care model, partnering with ABA, SLP and OT experts. Our Sugar Land Clinic seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver 1:1 sessions on-site and work with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to ensure quality therapeutic care.

This clinic-based role is compensated by session, serving pediatric and adolescent clients. Applicants must hold a Texas OT license; ASD experience is preferred and candidates will document plans of care and

Qualifications

• Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist.
• Two years of direct service work in a treatment setting preferred.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, 30 minute OT sessions.
• Perform clinical assessment; identify patient needs and target goals.
• Document, prepare and revise Plan of Care, progress notes and records.
• Assess ROM, strength, coordination, ADL performance and safety.
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data.
• Evaluate the efficiency of the treatment.
• Demonstrate professional behavior; crisis intervention competence.
• Train parents and staff; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist position is responsible for the direct implementation of therapy services within a clinic-based environment. This position will work closely with BCBAs, SLPs, and families to ensure that each patient in the organization receives quality therapeutic care!

This role will be compensated by session, while supporting pediatric and adolescent clients on-site at our Sugar Land Clinic.

• Perform clinical assessment; identify patient needs and target developmental goals
• Document, prepare/revises, and complete a Plan of Care, progress notes, and other clinical record documentation on an ongoing basis
• Assess and facilitate the patient’s ROM, strength, coordination, need for and use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues as related to the patient’s ADL performance needs
• Implement, monitor, collect and evaluate data.
• Evaluate the efficiency of the treatment
• Demonstration of professional behavior
• Competence with Crisis Intervention
• Facilitate effective training with parents and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide 1:1, 30 minute OT sessions

Qualifications
